Jessica was born and raised in Calgary. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts Degrees in Political Science and Psychology (With Distinction) from the University of Calgary.
From there, Jessica attended the University of Saskatchewan College of Law, where she graduated with a Juris Doctor in 2014. During law school, she represented U of S on the Mediation and Advocacy Moot Team, and volunteered as Social Director of the Law Students’ Association, and Director of Legal Follies.
After graduating from law school, Jessica began articling at a prominent law firm in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where she worked for over 2.5 years. She was called to the bar in 2015. During her time in Medicine Hat, Jessica gained extensive experience in Family and Civil Law, and appeared before the Provincial Court of Alberta and Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta on numerous occasions. Jessica also volunteered with Medicine Hat Legal Guidance and Co-Chaired the annual Law Day Committee.
Jessica recently moved back to her hometown to join Mainwood Legal Services, and is eager to assist clients in transitioning through their life events. Jessica predominantly practices Family Law, but enjoys a general practice of Civil Litigation, Wills and Estates, Employment Law, and Real Estate. Jessica is also interested in Criminal Defence work and Health Law. In all cases, Jessica employs compassion and understanding to assist her clients to obtain a favourable resolution for their unique circumstances.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys music, theatre, outdoor activities, and practicing her French.
