A note on services provided by Mainwood Legal during the Covid-19 Crisis.

To our Current and Future Clients:

Mainwood Legal Services remains open while measures are being taken to stop the spread of the Covid-19 virus.

We do so on the basis that it is our understanding that legal services would be considered an essential service, even if a general shelter in place order were issued.

Our premises are being wiped down with disinfectant regularly.

In addition, in order to promote the safety of our clients, lawyers and other staff, we are asking the following questions of clients before they come in to the office:

(a) Have you been out of the country in the last month or two?

(b) If so, have you completed the recommenced self-isolation of 14 days?

(c) Have you been in recent contact with anyone else returned from out of country who has not isolated?

(d) Have you knowingly been in contact with anyone who has shown any of the reported symptoms of the virus?

(e) Are you currently experiencing any of the reported symptoms of the virus?

If answers to those questions indicate that a client might potentially be infected with the virus, we will make alternate arrangements to help the client with his/her matter with a virtual meeting or with some other method that mitigates against spread of the virus.

If you come in for the appointment, you may choose to bring your own pens.  We will also employ the necessary physical distancing during the meeting.

Even in these uncertain times, we are committed to serving clients to the best of our ability and finding reasonable and responsible ways to keep our clients’ legal matters moving forward.

Thank you and stay healthy.
